Fans Booing President Obama?!

I was told that about half of Busch Stadium booed President Barack Obama's ceremonial first pitch at the All-Star game the other night. After seeing it myself, I do hear boos. But most of them are probably coming because he is wearing a White Sox jacket in St.Louis, and not so much that he would be an unpopular President in a Republican area.

What do you think? Do you hear the boos?

Is America Turning On Obama?

There is a huge outrage coming out against Obama for multiple reasons. Mainly for simply appearing on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, instead of working on fixing our economy. And because he made a 'small' remark regarding the Special Olympics in comparison to his not-so-mad bowlin' skillz. Did any of this offend you?

Just Another Crazed Obama Fan

Did anyone else catch this?

Either way, I hope to hear this guy on the radio some day!

Something About Obama I REALLY Didn't Want To Know

Now i'm no expert, but there is something seriously wrong here. I heard on the radio that Perez Hilton was one of the first to break this.

Let's just hope that she really didn't mean what we all thought she did in her reference to "fisting." In fact, I don't even know who this chick is. All I do know is that the off-camera reporter's laugh says it all, *she's thinking "did you really just say that?*

If There Is One Thing I Like About Obama, It's That...

Today was obviously historical on many accounts. I definitely want to congratulate Barack Obama and his family on such an amazing achievement as he took his oath of office this afternoon, and on the new President's speech that will clearly leave a lasting impression.

According to Akamai, today's inauguration was the 5th most watched event in internet history.

However, after all that being said, there really isn't any reason for me to go "Obama crazy" like most of the nation. He seems like a real, genuine man with high hopes and good intentions, but I don't think anyone can live up to that kind of hype. However, if there is one thing I like about Barack, it's the fact that he is a White Sox fan! (Apologies to those who were hoping for something more. Please feel free to return to your Facebook and Youtube)

For some reason the White Sox never get the love. The Cubs are horrible; they sell out the stands no matter what. The White Sox win the World Series; they don't even make the cover of S.I.! There is no other cross-town rivalry in sports like it. But here's a man that is now the head of our country, and he's a true south sider, throwing out first pitches during ALCS games. Beautiful. Plus it's better than Bush's Texas Rangers... Pa-leeease.

So there's my White Sox rant from a big White Sox fan.

Now! Going back to the usual, here is some of the crazy out of control "Obama hype" I was talking about earlier that still will not cease to astound me.

Really? An Obama Pizza? Creative, Yes. A little obsessive? Probbbbably. Out of control.

And what's with the George Washington comparison? I don't even know where to go with that. I just know that it's, again, out of control. Plus, it's a little on the creepy side.

I am all about Hope though as well. And I Hope you leave your thoughts.

Go Sox!

Facebook's Anti-Breast Policy

Facebook is censoring pictures of mothers that are posting pictures of themselves breast feeding.

The mothers aren't taking this too kindly and are now scheduling a "nurse in" on December 27th in which thousands of mothers are expected to post a breast feeding picture as their main profile photo.

At first glance, I was thinking... "no one reallly wants to see that!" It is still a very private area of the body, it's not like we're living in a third world country here. I don't find it obscene as much as I just find it as distasteful.

After thinking about it though, it really does just depend on the picture. If it's from a distance and you can just tell what the mother and baby are doing, I have no issue with that. It's when we get up close and personal with the extreme closeups that are a little out of control. Click here to see what I mean.

All in all, I'm all about breast feeding. It's perfectly natural and healthy. I reaaaallllyy just don't need to see an extreme closeup of it on my Facebook.

What do you think?

Who Names Their Child Adolf Hitler?

3-year-old Hitler can't get name on cake. Family upset at store for denying request, and angry Internet postings.
Image: Campbell family

I don't understand how anyone could name their child after someone who has represented the pinnacle of evil, however that's exactly what these parents in New Jersey did 3 years ago when they named their newborn "Adolf Hitler Campbell."

Now that little Adolf is 3, they wanted to get a cake with his name on it to celebrate. The problem; the supermarket in Greenwich, NJ refused, saying the name was highly offensive. Which of course it is.

I believe in many freedoms, but if this kid grows up to be anything decent, he is going to seriously disown his parents. I even read that his younger sister has a middle name of "Aryan Race."

But back to the story....

Now there is an uproar because Wal-Mart, and later regrettably so, decided to put Adolf's name on his birthday cake. So ya, as expected, people are kind of freaking out.

There should be a process where we automatically "weed out" all of the people not fit to be parents. Make them take a test. And ya know, if they check-mark "Adolf Hilter Fan", sound the alarms! and make sure they are somehow incapable of procreation.

President Bush Attacked In Iraq By Journalist

No room for partisan politics here. If you're an American you should be pretty offended by this.

People are unbelievable. My friend Wendy Vinglinksy had it well put on her facebook, "Who throws a shoe? I mean Honestly? .. You fight like a woman " - Austin Powers.

The guerrilla shoe fighter is a journalist from Cairo. It's kind of amazing the S.S. weren't all over this to begin with. Outstanding reflexes by Bush though.

Rod Blagojevich Looking Straight Foolish On The Daily Show

Our buddy Rod is so confused in this interview. He doesn't know what is going on.

The story was done Two years ago with Jason Jones to talk about the morning-after pill. The Governor didn't have a clue that it was a satire, so his answers are simply priceless.

I really don't care who it is, this is funny. I'm sure even the Governor had a good laugh afterwords. Well, maybe...

Tim McGraw, Governor?

Tim McGraw wants to be Tennessee's next Govna.

The New Republic is reporting that country singer Tim McGraw could run for Governor as soon as 2010! That's practically next year.

If he thinks he could do a good job, then I'm all for it. I mean who isn't a fan of Ronald Reagan, another star who ran for office with no experience simply because of his name.

Not to mention, I am also a BIG fan of Faith Hill. ;)

Lesser of two evils

Joe the plumber: "McCain appalled me."

Although you can't always take a person word for word, especially when they are constantly being interviewed by the liberal media, it is still unfortunate when these things turn up.

Just one day after Governor Blogojevich was arrested on conspiracy to sell Obama's senate seat (which means it's hard telling what other corruption has taken place while Obama DID hold his place in the senate) we find out that, once again, we have probably voted for simply "the lesser of two evils" - once again, so to say.

Joe the plumber says that McCain appalled him so much that he was ready to jump the bus, only he disliked Obama more. In the interview he says that a Barack Obama presidency scared him more than anything.

He does talk about Sarah Palin and how "real" she is. I can actually believe that. The media is always giving her a bad rap, when really, it does appear that she simply wants to serve the people. An Alaskan hockey mom is probably exactly what we need folks. That's about as real as it gets!

You can read the article here.

Corruption Still Spues Out Of IL.

Earthquake: Illinois Gov. Arrested; Charged With Selling Obama's Senate Seat

From MSNBC:

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich was arrested by FBI agents Tuesday morning on federal corruption charges, officials said.

His chief of staff John Harris was also charged, the U.S. Department of Justice confirmed in a statement. Blagojevich, 51, and Harris, 46, both of Chicago, were each charged with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and solicitation of bribery. A 76-page FBI affidavit alleges that Blagojevich was intercepted on court-authorized wiretaps during the last month conspiring to sell or trade for personal gain the state's U.S. Senate seat, which is being vacated by President-elect Barack Obama.

Just when you think that the Global Financial Meltdown is the worst of our problems. Bam!

UPDATE: It's even worse than that. The U.S. Attorney says that Blagojevich threatened "to withold substantial state assistance to the Tribune Company in connection with the sale of Wrigley Field to induce the firing of Chicago Tribune editorial board members sharply critical of Blagojevich." Wow. Read the complaint and press release here. No need to guess who prosecutor is. It's the man who convicted Scooter Libby, sent Judith Miller to jail, and even created some turmoil here at TIME magazine. Patrick J. Fitzgerald.

ANOTHER UPDATE: This is one of those scandals that will just get bigger. According to DOJ Press release, Blagojevich claimed he was approached by an associate of "Senate Candidate 5." Said the governor: "We were approached 'pay to play.' That, you know, he'd raise 500 grand. An emmisary came. Then the other guy would raise a million, if I made him (Senate Candidate 5) a Senator." No word yet on the identity of Senate Candidate 5.

MORE: The code name of the joint anti-corruption investigation by DOJ, IRS, US Postal and the US Dept. of Labor: "Operation Board Games." Quick question: Will anyone in Obamaland, including even the president-elect himself, have to testify? Possible answer, from the press release: "Blagojevich said he knew that the President-elect wanted Senate Candidate 1 for the open seat but 'they're not willing to give me anything except appreciation. [Expletive] them.' "

EVEN MORE: From the Dept. of Not Gonna Happen: "Throughout the intercepted conversations, Blagojevich also allegedly spent significant time weighing the option of appointing himself to the open Senate seat and expressed a variety of reasons for doing so, including: frustration at being 'stuck' as governor; a belief that he will be able to obtain greater resources if he is indicted as a sitting Senator as opposed to a sitting governor; a desire to remake his image in consideration of a possible run for President in 2016; avoiding impeachment by the Illinois legislature; making corporate contacts that would be of value to him after leaving public office; facilitating his wife's employment as a lobbyist; and generating speaking fees should he decide to leave public office. . . . He added later that the seat 'is a [expletive] valuable thing, you just don't give it away for nothing.' "

MORE: The Horsetrade Idea: "Over the next couple of days – Election Day and the day after – Blagojevich was captured discussing with Deputy Governor A whether he could obtain a cabinet position, such as Secretary of Health and Human Services or the Department of Energy or various ambassadorships. . . . The day after the election, Harris allegedly suggested to Blagojevich that the President-elect could make him the head of a private foundation. . . . [I]n a three-way call with Harris and Advisor B, a consultant in Washington, Blagojevich and the others allegedly discussed the prospect of a three-way deal for the Senate appointment involving an organization called 'Change to Win,' which is affiliated with various unions including the Service Employees International Union (SEIU)."

QUOTE OF THE YEAR: The good Gov. Blagojevich on Monday: "I don't believe there's any cloud that hangs over me. I think there's nothing but sunshine hanging over me," he said. "I don't care whether you tape me privately or publicly. I can tell you that whatever I say is always lawful." Oy
