Pitching Can Be A Booger

My 'acting career' is going pretty well. So well in fact I haven't had a whole lot of time to write lately. This picture should hold the fort for the meantime. It's always entertaining seeing baseball players act like real human beings. Because afterall, we're always putting them up on serene pedestals of perfection. We never see them spit, chew, scratch, pick, swear... or in this case...dig for gold. Because this is a rare occurrence. Baseball players are clean, neat beings......this picture is funny....because like I said, ball players just don't do this sorta thing.... Well, at least not on ESPN.

Unless your name is John Danks. John Danks. John Danks would do this. I love you John Danks.

Tommy Lasorda Is A Baller!

Or he may just be a ball. I'm not sure.

This pic was posted on Deadspin and they said they were worried about Tommy's health.

C'mon guys. Was he ever skinny? I'm sure he's feelin fine! Not everybody can take a great pic on everrrry shot.

It is pretty cool what they are doing though. Tommy, alongside the guy from The Unit (and those All-State commercials) and David Robinson are touring Afghanistan to hang out with our troops. In fact they just stopped by one of my buddies' base there and he got to meet all three. Nathan Schrock, from Arthur, IL, you are a rad! He's the only army guy in this pic that looks like he's having a good time (Because that's how us A-towners role!)
Too bad Tommy wasn't in this pic. It's always good to see him behind a huge barrel.

Yankee Fans Are Still Yankee Fans

Former Yankee and current tribe pitcher Carl Pavano being introduced at Yankee Stadium's opening day yesterday. The right jumbo-tron says it all.

Nice to know that even in a new stadium, nothing has changed in the Bronx. Isn't it great taking all your NYC frustrations and aggressions out on your own baseball players!?

March Madness Is A Dangerous Sport

At least during warm-ups... I've heard of being 'basketball minded,' but this is crazy!

[Deadspin]
I especially find this funny because I am a HUGE Illinois fan. They better get their 'heads' on straight if they want to beat Western Kentucky tonight though!

The Most Awkward Pictures Of A-Rod Yet

I'm kind of getting tired of writing about Alex Rodriguez. But when he keeps giving us reasons to keep blogging away, how can I deny myself?

He did a photo-shoot for Details magazine the DAY-AFTER he told everyone about his "performance enhancing" drug use. I find these pictures not only awkward....but kind of....well, just weird.

A-Rod, buddy. Just play baseball!

Doesn't this one ESPECIALLY just make you feel uncomfortable?

Sorry A-Rod, you're no model. Just swing a bat, go out with Madonna....do whatever you want to do. Just please! No more photo shoots!

It's All About Picking Butler!

In your NCAA tournament bracket next week, Butler may look like a sexy pick. But not as sexy as Butler picking themselves. This is from the game last night in which Cleveland State upset 16th ranked Butler 57-54 in the Horizon League championship game. I guess when your team is down by one point with 33.7 seconds left, all that's left to do is pick your nose!

James Franco As Sleeping Beauty

Last I heard James was still taking classes at UCLA. They must not be that entertaining...
TMZ released this photo earlier of the actor falling asleep in one of his classes. I can only imagine the hilarity that ensued from the person taking this picture...especially when they sold it!

Beware Of Zombies In Texas!

Austin Texas is either having problems with the dead rising from the grave, or hackers with a sense of humor that like to play games. As entertaining as it would be to see a real-life Michael Jackson "Thriller" video hitting the streets of A-town, the "Zombies Ahead" sign is due to the latter.

Fox reports the sign was hacked on January 19 by someone clever, yet unknown. Although if you get caught it's a prettttyyy hefty fine. But c'mon... you're driving to work at 6:00 AM on a cruddy January day... This would totally make me laugh out loud. Plus it's more fun, creative, and safer than graffiti. Nice work Zombie man.

The Bikini Ice Fishing Team

OutdoorLife presents: The Bikini Ice Fishing Team

1st thought: Wow, that's hot.

2nd thought: Wow, that's cold.

3rd thought: Wow......

...who needs L.A. when you have snowbunnies in Siberia? And do they really know how to use those drills?

Really random pic. Really makes me wonder how far models are willing to go. Where DID they take this pic?

Kudos OutdoorLife. You just gave about a thousand men a good excuse to look at, er, READ your magazine.

Children Horrified Of Santa

I know I have a picture from my childhood somewhere back at home where I am bawling my eyes out, screaming on Santa's lap; most likely at the community center in Hammond, IL.

Today many "Scared Of Santa" pics have hit the net in light of the new book that has come out.

Pretty ingenious. Seriously, I had no idea taking pictures of kids freaked out by Santa could be so funny!

They say at least 1/2 of all children are horrified by jolly St. Nick, and after looking at the pictures it wouldn't surprise me. Look below and you'll see the pure look of horror in these kid's eyes. Doesn't it just remind of you the mall scene in "A Christmas Story!" Although they were so excited to see Santa, remember how Ralphy and his brother reacted after they actually saw the creepy man in a white beard??.... "Hooooo Hoo Hooooooo." Really is quite frightening if you haven't even learned your alphabet yet.

I can only dream of having a Christmas Greeting card this great for my children someday.

Here are some links with more "Scared of Santa" pics.
