A-Rod Neckin' With Kate Hudson?!

Maybe I'm totally wrong, but this is probably a good thing for A-Rod. I mean c'mon Alex......Madonna????

Not sure where all of this is headed, but I guess things have gotten pretty steamy between A-Fraud....er, excuse me...A-ROD and cutie actress, miss Kate Hudson.

Last weekend she was in the stands cheering on the Yanks in the Bronx before heading out to a place with Rodriguez after the game to 'celebrate.' The New York Post reports:

[But the real action came later that night at Mustang Grill on Second Avenue. Our source said a bartender at the Southwestern joint at 85th Street "was asking patrons not to go in the back room around 1 a.m. because A-Rod and Kate Hudson were back there making out."]

I hope this works out for the both of em. But c'mon... it has 'fling' written allll over it! Either way, this should help get A-rod's focus off the steroid abuse news. And what actress doesn't need more publicity.

And in the music world, I HAVE to mention that the best pop-punk band of all-time reunited last night, FITTINGLY, in my new hometown of Burbank, CA, on The Tonight Show. Blink-182 is back baby!

Thoughts on Blink? Thoughts on Madonna...I mean...Kate!
Leave them here!

A Melody For Cubs Fans

Me: "I dunno dad, the Cubs look pretty good this year. They have the best record in the NL, they could win the pennant finally."

Dad: "Naaaaaaaaaaaaa, they'll find a way to choke, just like they do every year."

And of course we all know what happened. Doesn't even matter the year, the Cubs choke. Always.

Even Cubbie fans have to laugh at this. Ohhh those luvable losers.

Keep your heads up though Cub fans. There's always next year!.........
...and the year after that, and the year after that....

We've Come A Long Way In The Music Video Biz!

So I was perusing Youtube checking out some of my favorite songs when I decided to search for Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love."

The song came out around 1980, so I wasn't expecting a music video. But to my surprise, there was one. However what I was about to see I was definitely not ready for.

If you're up for seeing multiple butt shots, jump cuts and awkward poses next to a motorcycle, then watch what might be the worst music video ever made below. I mean hey, I love me some Queen, but this video I kind of want to erase from my memory.

Blink-182 Already Recording New Album

I've grown out of my pop punk phase a little bit...but i'll always have a love for Blink-182. I'm totally pumped they're back together and I will definitely be seeing them when they go on tour, in which it looks like to be this upcoming summer. Check out their site...

This is the message they have left. Evidently they're already in the studio!? Who else is pumped about their return!?

Kelly Clarkson Is Hot

...No really, she is..... Smokin', really. So much in fact, that just in case you didn't hear, last week the former American Idol champion made Billboard history as she made the highest jump ever recorded in the Hot 100. Her leap from number 97 to number 1 was the highest in the chart's 50 year history.

So if you're like me, you may be wondering if you've heard the song already. Personally I hadn't, so I checked it out....... and all I have to say is, she has a MAD publicist.
The song is OK, it's good.....but good enough to make the highest jump ever?! .... I don't see it. She's had better songs in the past. My Life Would Suck Without You sold 280,000 digital downloads in it's first week, which I guess is pretty good. So that's the main reason for the large jump. On the radio it went from 58-38 on the Hot 100 airplay.

Nice job though Kelly. She just keeps coming back for more. And who can't root for a "rags to riches" type story. It wasn't that long ago she was just that little unknown brunette from Texas.

My buddy Shawn sent this to me this morning, and it immediately brightened my day. You can't help but watch and love every second of it. It's kind of like watching a train wreck, but instead of trains colliding you have 80's metrosexuals doing toe touches and jumping off brick walls in alleys. God bless America. God bless Rick Astley.

And oh ya.... YOU'VE BEEN RICKROLL'd!!

Is Joaquin Phoenix Rap A Media Stunt?

It was just a few years ago when Joaquin Phoenix was winning golden trophies for his portrayal of Johnny Cash in Walk The Line. Now, either Joaquin has been bitten by the Hollywood crazy bug, or he's one of the slickest media attention grabbing stars out there.

Joaquin, who now looks nothing like he used to, donning a mad crazy beard that makes Grizzly Adams jealous, is considered by many to be the latest pop star gone mad.
Good ol' Grizzly

Watch the videos below as he raps earlier this month in a Vegas nightclub. Most of you have probably seen it, but I am still pretty dumbfounded that it's the same man who did an ingenious Johnny Cash. Especially after Phoenix falls off the stage following his rap....as if drunk.

While his friends claim it's all an elaborate hoax, Phoenix swears that he is turning his back on acting to try to reinvent himself as a legitimate and respected rapper.

Check out the videos below and please leave your comments. What do you think he is up to? Is he a hoax? Or is he fo' real?

I think it's probably a mixed bag. Nobody, well....most people.. are not this crazy. He has to know what he is doing to some extent.

Please God. Give Us A Blink-182/NSYNC Reunion!

Can you imagine? The pop punk-rock boy band, and the.... well, simply pop boy band both make comebacks at the same time!?

I learned how to play guitar in high school off Blink's "Enema of the State," arguably one of the greatest pop rock albums of all time. And NSYNC was always a guilty pleasure. Just ask Camp Walter Scott in Dieterich, IL., where I was part of a parody of "Bye Bye Bye." Good times.

In recent interviews Mark Hoppus says he hopes for a Blink-182 reunion some day, but that it would have to be the most mind blowing experience one would EVER have at a concert. Here's what he told MTV recently..

"The future is wide open. ...Blink-182 wasn't manufactured by a label, and we weren't making music to make money or for fame. We were three friends in a band, writing music that we loved. That's where it began and ended. Before there's reunion talk, we need to get back t
o that point again. Actually, we would need to get beyond that point, to a place where you can say to someone, 'Hey, man, I'm not really feeling this,' and be able to argue constructively about the music. Because that's where the best of Blink-182 came into being..."

NSYNC on the other hand may have a better shot. It's probably just up to Mr. Timberlake taking the time to grow back his dreamy locks.

In all seriousness though, Joey Fatone told Hollywoodscoop.com... "It's possible. You never know, that's the hardest part. With 'N Sync you have five guys with five individual likes and what they wanna do in the direction of their careers. For me, personally I'm the only one that's married and has a child and has that career. Family is some sort of lifestyle and career. For the other guys, you've got Justin Timberlake, who is doing really well, JC Chasez who is writing, Lance (Bass) who just did Dancing with the Stars' and who is hosting. You've got Chris (Kirkpatrick) who is writing and singing."

If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. And these reunions definitely do! But on that note, let's celebrate anyway! Here are more Blink-182/NSYNC pics for your pleasure.

"All The Small Things!" - With the little people! Oh, jeeesh, the good ol' days when MTV used to be good!....somewhat.

I reeaaallly hope this is photo-shopped. But it probably isn't.

Is this a Target ad?

No, this is the Target ad. My bad!

Isn't this every guy's dream!?................. To just run around naked...and free. What did you think I meant?

One of the best album covers of all-time.

Office Employees Shoot Music Video

Not even sure how I found this, and I wasn't even sure what it was when I did. But very original.... in a non-original kind of way (It's a music video).

Shot all in one-take by an office full of employees at Connected Ventures, they're shooting Harvey Danger's "Flagpole Sitta." Great Song.

More videos from the creator are here. Pretty funny chick.

Tim McGraw, Governor?

Tim McGraw wants to be Tennessee's next Govna.

The New Republic is reporting that country singer Tim McGraw could run for Governor as soon as 2010! That's practically next year.

If he thinks he could do a good job, then I'm all for it. I mean who isn't a fan of Ronald Reagan, another star who ran for office with no experience simply because of his name.

Not to mention, I am also a BIG fan of Faith Hill. ;)

Britney: Pop Puppet

It really is sad how Britney Spears is so easily influenced. She really is simply a pop puppet, strung along to make hundreds of people rich, and she doesn't even realize it.

Read the article below as Britney celebrated her birthday today in awkward fashion on national television. But before you do, check out what my UCLA reporter Noah Reich had to say about viewing her taping....

Today was the taping of "Britney: For the Record, The Live Countdown to the documentary to be aired on november 30th. There was much anticipation in the audience as Britney walked down the red carpet to a seat next to host Damien Faye.

The excitement soon fizzled away when Britney's lack of coherency and thought left her looking like a zombie. Britney seemed to be unaware of questions that were asked of her and unable to stay seated patiently. As though she was rushed or unexcited to be present to her own premiere. What a way to start off to a NEW you, Brit. The audience grew tired and bored of the constant clapping and Britney's unwillingness to show a care. Britney literally answered every question with either "yes" or "thank you!"

The most awkward portion of the night came when host Damien asked Britney what it felt like for an inspiration of her own Madonna to have called Brit an inspiration. Britney caught off guard by the question ignored it and instead answered with a "It was so much fun to be on stage with Madonna and Christina. Damien responded by asking the question once again and Britney's response was "i don't know, because of something." Hairstylist makeup artist and producers constantly at Brit's side. Manager Larry Rudolph looked very irritated throughout the whole taping, having to tell Britney to smile. Quite tragic. Only for the audience.

Then things turned even worse when Damien asked Britney a question about her new CD "Circus." "Can you tell us about your new CD?" as Britney hesitated to answer, she was abruptly cut off, "Cut..cut...Britney let's go!" screamed her manager Larry Rudolph. Brit stormed off set only to leave without a single word. As Larry Rudolph dragged her of stage.

The second half of the taping which was to be an interview with Brit about her new CD was abruptly pushed to a hault.

Britney we thought you were growing up, coming to a new. But You cant even introduce your documentary without having the words put in your mouth.

One loyal fan IAN T. who was so excited to see Britney that he almost fainted was heart broken as the love of his life was no more than a mere B*TCH. He cried and left the set in a disappointed shock. GIRL, its time to realize, YOUR nuts.
